Prescribed Burn
Walker Fire got to participate in a prescribed burn today one mountain range over in Groom Creek. I got to act as engine boss which was cool but not new, I was engine boss for a real fire last May at the top of Spruce Mountain. I had Gary and Jill for my crew but the nature of the drill was that we were part of a hand crew so none of my recent engine training came into play but it was good practice, nonetheless. Of course I forgot my camera.
On a different note, my Dad now has email. It will make communicating with him much easier, I'm thrilled.
