George Will
I was watching Florida State play University of Miami in baseball on some Florida sports channel. George Will was there and sat in with the announcers during one of the innings. I know he is a baseball fan of some sort and that he has written a book or two about baseball but I did not really know how into it he was.
He said something that I thought was very smart. They were talking about aluminum bats. He said major league baseball should subsidize the college game with wooden bats because it would be in their interests to do so. I know Cosmo Kramer did not think he was that bright but I was impressed.

Birds?
Often on Wednesday night I stay over in Phoenix at my in-laws so I can get two days in a row at the office. Last night I was woken up at about 11:15 by birds singing. I don't think I have ever heard birds in the middle of the night before. I ran around closing all the windows to try to mute the sound and I eventually fell back to sleep. Have you ever heard of such a thing?
